The 5 days

5 days to a body that moves more easily

The order I use with clients: find your starting point, learn when and how to stretch, loosen your lower body, then your upper body and spine, then build a routine you'll keep.

01

How flexibility works + a 4-part self-check

Why muscles feel tight, why flexibility is use it or lose it, and four simple checks for your hamstrings, shoulders, hips and spine.

◷ 10 min
02

Warm up or stretch?

Dynamic moves before activity, static holds after, plus the simple rules: 20-30 second holds, slow breathing, mild tension, never pain.

◷ 5-10 min
03

Hamstrings, hips, calves + glutes

Four lower-body stretches, each with an easier and a harder option, so you start where you are.

◷ 10 min
04

Chest, shoulders + spine

Doorway chest stretch, shoulder stretch, open book rotations, cat-cow and side bends for reaching and turning.

◷ 10 min
05

Your 10-minute routine + plan

Put it all together, anchor it to a daily habit and see what 4 to 6 weeks of steady practice can do.

◷ 10 min
By day 5 you have
  • Your own flexibility baseline to retest
  • A 5-minute dynamic warm-up
  • Nine key stretches with easy and harder options
  • A 10-minute routine for most days

Is this flexibility challenge for you?

Made for women 25+ who feel stiff after sitting, sleeping or workouts, want to reach, bend and turn more easily, or simply want a safe place to start. It is everyday movement coaching, not treatment for pain or any medical condition. If you have a recent injury or surgery, a joint replacement, osteoporosis, hypermobility or are pregnant, follow your care team's plan first.

Right now

Stretching feels hit or miss

  • You feel stiff getting out of bed or the car
  • Touching your toes feels far away
  • You are not sure when to stretch or how long to hold
  • You stretch now and then but never see progress
After 5 days

You have a stretching routine that makes sense

  • You know your starting point
  • You warm up and stretch at the right times
  • Easy and harder options for every area
  • Ten minutes a day keeps it going

This challenge is general wellness education and coaching, not medical advice, and it does not diagnose, treat or cure any condition. Stretch to mild tension, never pain. Stop and get checked if you feel sharp or shooting pain, numbness or tingling, or pain that spreads down an arm or leg.

If you have a recent injury or surgery, a joint replacement, hypermobility, osteoporosis (avoid loaded forward folds and spinal flexion), are pregnant, or have a history of an eating disorder, please talk with your doctor or a physical therapist first. Individual needs vary.
