5 days from "I can't sit still" to a daily habit

The order I'd teach any beginner: start tiny, give your mind an anchor, learn that wandering is normal, try practices that move, then make it a habit that fits your day.

  • Your 1-10 starting numbers for calm, focus, sleep, stress and mood

  • A body scan, walking meditation and loving-kindness to choose from
  • A simple daily habit and a plan for when it feels weird

Is this meditation starter for you?

Made for women 25+ who are curious about meditation but think they're "bad at it," can't sit still, or don't want another app. Everything works in a regular chair, at home, in a few minutes a day.

If you live with panic attacks, trauma or PTSD, severe depression, a history of psychosis or bipolar disorder, or dissociation, talk with your clinician first. Eyes open, shorter sits and walking meditation are always okay.

Right now

Meditation feels out of reach

  • You think you can't quiet your mind
  • You've tried an app once and stopped
  • You're not sure how to sit or for how long
  • You feel busy, tense or scattered most days
After 5 days

You have a simple practice

  • You know a wandering mind is normal
  • You have a 5-minute practice you can repeat
  • You can switch to walking when sitting feels hard
  • You have a time and place that fit your day

I am a NASM-certified personal trainer and NESTA nutrition coach with 20+ years in health and fitness, and I've trained in tai chi and Wing Chun, where slow breathing and steady attention are part of every practice. I'm not a meditation guru. I teach it the way I teach any skill: start small, keep it simple, repeat.

These five days keep it plain and practical: a few minutes a day, no apps to buy, no special cushion, and room to go gently.

  • Short practices, 2 to 10 minutes
  • No apps, gear or special room needed
  • Clear notes on when to stop and get support
