A free 5-day email challenge for women 25+ whose neck feels stiff in the morning, whose upper back aches after screen time, or who find it hard to turn and look over their shoulder.
Learn why necks and upper backs get stiff, do a gentle neck self-check, then try easy lying-down moves, wall and seated moves, a better screen, phone and reading set-up, calmer breathing for a tense jaw, pillow tips and one 10-minute routine. At home, with a chair, a towel, a wall, a pillow and a light band if you have one.
One short email a day, one step at a time.
About an hour of reading and practice across the week, and you finish with your 1-10 starting numbers, a gentle neck self-check, four lying-down moves, three wall and seated moves, a screen, phone and pillow set-up, a calm breathing drill and a 10-minute daily routine.
The order I use as a corrective exercise specialist: understand and check first, then move gently with your head supported, then work upright and fix your set-up, then calm the tension, then make it a routine.
Phone and screen time, forward head posture, stress and jaw tension, sleep position, age-related changes, a full safety note, a gentle neck self-check and your 1-10 starting numbers.
◷ 10 minSupported neck rotations on a pillow, towel-roll upper back extension, lying arm floats and a belly-down rest, all with your head supported.
◷ 10 minGentle neck isometrics with your hand, wall head-press posture holds, optional band "W" pulls, and your screen, phone and reading set-up.
◷ 10 minA jaw check, calm breathing, a towel self-massage for the upper traps, and the pillow and sleep position that help.
◷ 10 minEverything in one routine, daily habits, when to see a doctor or physical therapist, and your retest.
◷ 10 minMade for women 25+ whose neck feels stiff when they wake up, whose upper back aches after a day of screens, or who tense their shoulders and jaw when they're busy. Everything is gentle and done at home.
If you have a recent injury or surgery, osteoporosis, rheumatoid arthritis or a heart condition, or are pregnant or postpartum, get your care team's OK first.

I am a NASM-certified personal trainer with CES (corrective exercise) and PES credentials, a NESTA nutrition coach and a former collegiate track athlete, with 20+ years in health and fitness. A stiff neck and tight upper back are some of the most common things corrective exercise helps people move better around.
These five days keep it plain and practical: small daily moves, no products to buy and no quick-fix promises.

This challenge is general fitness education, not medical advice, and it does not diagnose, treat or cure any condition. It won't tell you what is causing your neck pain. Move gently, in a comfortable range.
Get emergency care now for neck pain after a fall, car accident or injury, a sudden severe headache, neck stiffness with a fever or headache, new weakness, numbness or clumsiness in your arms or hands, trouble walking or with balance, vision or speech changes, or dizziness or fainting when you turn your head. Call 911 for chest pain, or jaw or arm pain with shortness of breath. Get checked promptly for pain spreading down your arm with numbness or tingling, pain that is worse at night or doesn't ease with rest, unexplained weight loss or a history of cancer.
If you have a recent injury or surgery (follow your surgeon's precautions), osteoporosis, rheumatoid arthritis or a heart condition, are pregnant or postpartum, or have a history of an eating disorder, please talk with your doctor or a physical therapist first. Never change medications to fit a workout.
