The 5 days

5 days from awareness to a weekly practice

The order I used teaching kids' Krav Maga-based self-defense: notice and avoid first, then voice, then simple moves and escapes.

01

What self-defense really is

Awareness, avoidance and escape before any technique, a full safety note and a 1-10 baseline for confidence, feeling prepared and calm.

◷ 10 min
02

Awareness habits + a strong voice

Three small awareness habits and how to set a boundary out loud with a firm "Stop. Back off."

◷ 10 min
03

Ready stance, palm-heel + knee

A calm ready stance and two simple moves practiced slowly on air, with breathing that keeps you steady.

◷ 10 min
04

Wrist-grab escape + safer falling

A solo walkthrough of the thumb-gap escape and low, slow practice for falling without getting hurt.

◷ 15 min
05

Your weekly plan + choosing a class

A 10-minute practice twice a week, green and red flags in a beginner class, and your 1-10 retest.

◷ 10 min
By day 5 you have
  • Daily awareness habits that keep your options open
  • A firm boundary voice you've practiced out loud
  • A ready stance, a palm-heel strike and a knee on air
  • A wrist-grab escape path and a 10-minute weekly plan

Is this self-defense challenge for you?

Made for women 25+ who want to feel calmer and more prepared in daily life, whether you've never taken a class or want a gentle restart. Everything is practiced at home, on air only, never on a person. It doesn't replace a hands-on class.

If you have a recent injury or surgery, osteoporosis, wrist or shoulder problems, a joint replacement or a heart condition, or are pregnant or postpartum, get your care team's OK first.

Right now

Self-defense feels out of reach

  • You tense up walking alone at night
  • You're not sure what you'd actually do
  • Classes look intimidating or aggressive
  • Online videos feel like too much, too fast
After 5 days

You feel calmer and more prepared

  • You notice more and know when to leave early
  • You can say "Stop. Back off." and mean it
  • You have a few simple moves you've practiced safely
  • You know what a good beginner class looks like
